Which is why we are still "bed" partners.

No one listens to the other anymore, but at least we talk. Not a bad beginning in today's world, eh cowboys?

Some would say the listening stopped around the 1760s (for the most part) and things haven't improved much (well except when the Euros were in dire straights) in the intervening years.

The Brits seem to have forgotten everything they learned themselves and everything we taught them.

Sarkozy (le American) in France is a hopeful sign.
