Gosh, I enjoyed that, Simon. In fact, it made me smile. Dang that Dylan, with the audience singing right along, ALL off key, but who cares? lol

Cheers, my friend.

Damn it, I am on a heavily firewalled computer that blocks any streaming media, so I can only speculate what it is you're quoting The Mighty Quinn about.

Back in the glory days of Napster, when those sooooper-geniuses were all going to get fabulously rich by giving away stuff they didn't own (business plan? dude, that is like, soooo last week - this is the new economy), I made it my mission to track down as many Quinn covers as I could find. There were some odd ones out there - like the surf rock instrumental version by The Ventures. There was the reggae one for the Denzil Washington film, and a few acoustic granola inflected folk rock ones, but the absolute best was the heavy metal hair band version by Gotthard. It alone make sup for all the lame ones out there.

A coworker did some digging and found that The Mighty Quinn was a reference to LSD. Dunno, a song from the sixties about drugs? That's a stretch. Can't see it myself.
