McCain Suspends Campaign To Work Mortgage Crisis
John McCain suspends campaign asks Obama to do the same. U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain will suspended his campaign tomorrow to work on the U.S. economy.Obama said he is talking to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. He said if you need me call me. Evidently he doesn't think his presence will help. I'm inclined to agree. Cross Posted at Power and Control posted by Simon on 09.24.08 at 04:46 PM

it is obvious that mccain in not prepared to speak about the issues. we need to decide who is going to lead this country in 40 days and mccain is chickening out already. jimmy johnson · September 24, 2008 06:20 PM http://www.usnews.com/usnews/politics/bulletin/bulletin_080924.htm McCain is critical to the bail out plan. Senator ∅ not so much. M. Simon · September 24, 2008 06:38 PM Once again, old age and treachery trumps youth and skill. Once again, John McCain has seized total control of the news cycle when it was going against him, and has put Obama in a no-win position. Either Obama takes McCain's cue and returns to Washington (in which case he is the follower to McCain's leader) or he eschews the job for which he was elected and is paid to do in order to campaign for a different one. I've always admired McCain, but I never expected to say this -- the man's a genius. BNJ · September 24, 2008 08:32 PM Better yet. Bush called Obama and Obama has decided to heed the call. So Jimmy it looks like you got your talking points wrong. You need to get some new ones from the hive mind. Either that or ∅ double crossed you to make you look stupid on purpose. Suck it up lad. Tomorrow is another day. M. Simon · September 24, 2008 09:23 PM Talk. Action. BO: "Let's issue a joint press release." JM: "Okay. I'm headed to Washington to help pound out a bipartisan solution. Join me?" BO: "Never! I have important fundraisers!" When you have to talk over the heads of the MSM news anchors, actions speak far louder than words. Clint · September 24, 2008 09:38 PM Seems like the presidential folk all run back to DC (or to the scene of the crisis), the grunts stay at work on the fund raising. Until the boss says "why don't y'all drop in tomorrow and let's us work this out." Larry Sheldon · September 24, 2008 09:56 PM Please note that I did NOT say anything about Stepin Fetchit. Larry Sheldon · September 24, 2008 10:00 PM For once, Obama will be voting "Not Present." xj · September 25, 2008 10:05 AM Post a comment
