U.S. Republican presidential candidate John McCain will suspended his campaign tomorrow to work on the U.S. economy.
He has also requested a postponement of this Friday's presidential debate.
In addition, McCain has asked Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to join him in setting aside campaigning to focus on the financial crisis.
Obama said he is talking to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. He said if you need me call me. Evidently he doesn't think his presence will help. I'm inclined to agree.
Quick! Someone get Obama working on the economy ASAP! If the 20th Century taught us anything, it's that no one knows how to get an economy on the right track like a socialist!

it is obvious that mccain in not prepared to speak about the issues. we need to decide who is going to lead this country in 40 days and mccain is chickening out already.
Once again, old age and treachery trumps youth and skill. Once again, John McCain has seized total control of the news cycle when it was going against him, and has put Obama in a no-win position. Either Obama takes McCain's cue and returns to Washington (in which case he is the follower to McCain's leader) or he eschews the job for which he was elected and is paid to do in order to campaign for a different one.
I've always admired McCain, but I never expected to say this -- the man's a genius.
