The New York Times passes on the rumor that Obama has asked New York Governor David Patterson to withdraw from the New York Governor's Race.
President Obama has sent a request to Gov. David A. Paterson that he withdraw from the New York governor's race, fearing that Mr. Paterson cannot recover from his dismal political standing, according to two senior administration officials and a New York Democratic operative with direct knowledge of the situation.
The decision to ask Mr. Paterson to step aside was proposed by political advisers to Mr. Obama, but approved by the president himself, one of the administration officials said.
That sounds racist to me. Why? David Patterson is Black.
I don't know but it seems to me that I heard Hillary Clinton might seek the same position. If that is true, it might be awkward if President Obama endorsed a white woman over a black man. That would be like throwing black America under the bus.He does owe some political debt though and that seems the obvious away to repay. Who knows, what goes through politicians heads. I do know what goes through my head and my speculative assertation could, hold some water.

Question, are the supporters of Obama racist because they support a Black President, or are the opposition racist because they don't support a black President?
It seems to me that if REP is racist for being the opposition,
the DEM is just as racist for being the support.
This is not a question of the color of either supporters or opposition.
