It appears that the The American Beverage Association Political Action Committee gives to Republicans and Democrats. None to John McCain. They did make a $5,000 contribution to the Blue Dog Political Action Committee. Blue Dogs are conservative Democrats.
William Ball who works for the Loeffler Group is a McCain national security advisor. One of the clients of the Loeffler Group is the American Beverage Association.
What do I take away from all this? John and Cindy through their friends have seen to it that Carol has a job. One that may help him, on the margins, in politics. Considering that Carol worked for Ronald Reagan, I'd say Carol is doing what she likes and is helping her ex-husband. Good for Carol. Good for John and Cindy.
Now the question is: What is Obama doing for his grandmother. Besides throwing her under the bus?
I don't think a grand mother should expect anything from a grandson. But I would expect my husband not to dump me for a younger not disfigured millionaire and have Ross Perot pay my medical bill.

A grandmother should at the least expect respect from her grandson especially if she practically raised him. The way Obama talks about his grandmother in his book he is not showing her any respect. If he has a problem with the way she raised him then he should have taken it up with her instead of being disrespectful to her using his book.
As for McCain's affair after he returned after being turtured for five years in Vietnam, no one should expect a broken person be able to take care of another broken person. Or no one should expect them to know what they are doing.

As Obama is currently in Hawaii, he might be visiting her. I imagine that if he does, it will be a news item. One of these says he is going to visit her.
