Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize - Country Doomed
President ∅ has won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. I'm not going to name all the losers who have won that award. But I will name a few. Al Gore - for Global Warming. The Globe is cooling. Jimmy Carter for bringing Peace to the Israelis and Palistinians. The war never stopped. Yasser Arafat for being a Peace Maker. He started Stupidfada II - and lost. Well you get the drift. The Peace Prize is usually a sign that the policies praised will fail. Usually sooner than later. Expect a war. A big war. Soon. Veeshir, We are so totally screwed. I will have only one minor consolation and that is I can tell my D mother: I told you so. A very faint consolation indeed. M. Simon · October 9, 2009 08:29 AM
Hugh · October 9, 2009 08:46 AM Obama has not and will not now understand that peace is Hugh · October 9, 2009 08:47 AM Hugh, I could remove the second one but I think your point is worth making twice. M. Simon · October 9, 2009 08:53 AM Hmm, now that I think about it, Pak/India is another decent prospect. The Himalayas should protect the rest of Asia from the fallout, but hundreds of millions dead would be pretty farging ugly. Veeshir · October 9, 2009 12:15 PM Not to burst the bubble of your argument, but Jimmy Carter won the Nobel Prize for bringing about a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, not "Israel and the Palestinians". Carter brokered a deal that benefited both countries and cemented Egypt as a US ally in the region, ending the series of wars that erupted between Egypt and Israel for 30 years prior to the agreement. I am no fan of Jimmy Carter, or of his foreign policy, but he did deserve his Nobel Prize, back when the Nobel Prize actually meant something. R. I figure Putin will invade Georgia in the spring. The funny moment will be when Obama tells both sides to step back.
Other than that, I'm only really worried about Iran and Israel.
A long shot, China tries to invade Taiwan because they think Obama will let them. (Which might be correct)
Another long shot, a war in South America. Commies against capitalists. Should be interesting especially considering our political betters will be on the side of the commies.
