Wow

BJW   ·  April 11, 2008 04:35 PM

For all of his "oratorical" skills, his speeches, and especially the ones in this video, sound flat and cold. Like he's delivering "just words". Patrick's delivery was far better.

But I guess that's just what happens when you don't actually believe the Just Words you're delivering.

So, we have the same speech writer recasting/lifting his own words and stealing catch phrases from other lefties: his reading sources? Who else knows this in the MSM and is being silent? Perhaps this is why there is no big outcry and the one charge of plagiarism was so quickly submerged: one can not charge the speech writer with plagiarism if he is using his own words.

"Magic Negro", magic words, magician writer.

Devastating.

The MSM has made up its mind. Barry Hussein Carter is going to be the next president and if you don't like it, you're a bigot.

How many realize that Denzel Washingtion is playing Malcom X in that clip? A lot of YTubers will not. I think that juxiposition is just devistating.

I agree. I like Gov. Patrick's delivery better. Where does Obama get his reputation of being a good speaker?

Whoever made this forgot about the "chickens coming home to roost" quote. Malcolm originally got in trouble for saying that in regards to the JFK assassination.

peter jackson   ·  April 11, 2008 06:18 PM

Do I really care if the guy is lifting lines from other politicians and "activists"? No. Big deal. And do I care that the MSM lets him get away with it? No. Big deal.

What I care about is that the MSM lets him get away with being a Marxist, and the most hard-core Leftist candidate to ever get so close to the seat of power. And they don't question him a lick about it. That's the real bamboozle. We are witnessing a genuine Manchurian Candidate in action, and all we get are ooohs and ahhhs.

Is there a larger point here than BHO's lack of originality?

edh   ·  April 11, 2008 07:06 PM

Yes. His lack of honesty.

scott   ·  April 11, 2008 07:55 PM

It's that his rhetoric and presentation are a schtick. He's feeding white liberals a form of nostalgia and benefiting from their belief that his statements are original and authentic - that he's the genuine article.

Of course, you can't con an honest person. Much of what enables this is rooted in Liberal condescension towards blacks - their assumption that blacks aren't sophisticated enough to manipulate them in this way.

Change and Hope or

New Coke

i.e. a synthetic candidate. He is not a new kind of politician. He is the same old product with a better marketing campaign.

Why should they, Peterike? They're Marxists themselves.

Positively primo.

Obama really believes he's the Messiah. What a megalomaniac. That is a frightening and very revealing video.
