The Veneer Of Civilization

Historian Will Durant wrote in his book The Story of Civilization:

"The Mohammadan conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history. It is a discouraging tale, for its evident moral is that civilization is a precarious thing, whose delicate complex of order and liberty, culture and peace may at any time be overthrown by barbarians invading from without or multiplying within."
You have to wonder what Islam has in store for the rest of us.

Well, when Russia decided not to acquiesce to Muslim separatism, we vilified their terrifying response as genocide.

But really, do we fight fire with fire? Those who would eliminate all Others must be eliminated themselves, so long as they hold such an anti-social view of their surroundings. If not, we have no choice but to run, hide, and fend off. . . or conquer.

Do we have the courage to choose freedom over fearful slavery?

Questions to ponder while I go off to shuffle insurance papers for the next 8 hours.
