Can You Believe It?
Note that the gentleman being interviewed is an Obama supporter if you can judge by the above conversation. He says Obama was not born in Hawaii. He also says those that don't like Obama are racists. Here is what he had to say: There is no birth certificate," he said. "It's like an open secret. There isn't one. Everyone in the government there knows this. ... In my professional opinion, he definitely was not born in Hawaii. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he was not born in Hawaii because there is no legal record of him being born there. - Tim Adams, the former senior elections clerk for the city and county of HonoluluH/T Curmudgeonly & Skeptical Cross Posted at Power and Control posted by Simon on 06.21.10 at 01:16 AM

Ellen, I think the whole thing is nuts. However, all we have seen is a COLB which is not a birth certificate. And the fact that the fellow was an official does give his testimony some weight. And the fact that he is an obvious Obama supporter shows he is arguing against interest. In any case I found it interesting and reporting on the Birther stuff has been an interest of mine for a long time. This will muddy the waters. That is for sure. Obama will be brought down by bad politics not a bad birth certificate IMO. M. Simon · June 21, 2010 05:17 AM I've never heard an Obama supporter articulate what his position would be should the unlikely accusations of ineligibility turn out to be true: 1. Would he be outraged at Obama's criminal deception of the electorate, calling for immediate resignation or impeachment, or a new election? 2. Or would he poo-poo the constitutional requirement as silly and outdated, and demonize anyone who made such demands? Given the left's disrespect for the Electoral College whenever they lose the Presidential election, I would bet on number two: the usual shit. Brett · June 21, 2010 09:12 AM The man has changed his story repeatedly: http://www.opednews.com/Diary/Birther-Elections-Clerk-by-J-Edward-Tremlett-100620-274.html His claim that the COLB means Obama was not born in the US is simply untrue. The COLB is the only form of birth record Hawaii will issue, and Obama's states he was born in Honolulu. It's a waste of time, as they're chasing a document (the "long form") which Hawaii and many other states no longer offer. Unless it is shown that the Hawaiian officials are lying, we have to assume there's a copy of the long form in the records of the Hawaii Secretary of State (who officially assert there is). They are not allowed to disclose it to anyone except Obama and people in certain limited categories (see page 20 in this pdf): http://gen.doh.hawaii.gov/sites/har/AdmRules1/8%208A%20B%20VR%20Admin%20Rules.pdf I may be wrong, but I think Obama may be planning to release his copy of the long form at whatever he deems the most advantageous time. Eric Scheie · June 21, 2010 12:51 PM You may well think me simple-minded - and, more dauntingly, you may well be right - but I believe Obama was born in Hawaii and has whatever documentation might be required to prove it, because I believe that Hilary Clinton really did want to be President, and I especially believe that Bill Clinton really, REALLY, wanted Hilary to be President. And Bill is every bit as nasty as Obama, and a great deal smarter and more effective. I have no doubt at all that he has long since seen every relevant record in the Hawaii archives, and that if any of it was capable of disqualifying Obama, the rest of us would have seen it long since too. In a nutshell, if Clinton didn't nuke him with it, it ain't there. ebt · June 21, 2010 05:35 PM "In a nutshell, if Clinton didn't nuke him with it, it ain't there." Concur. Clearly, this should be the kicker argument. As to the Birthers' ultimate argument that Obama could easily disprove their claims if they were untrue: Why would he want to? "No, please, stop appearing to be an unhinged and dumber version of the LaRouchettes - you're tarring all Republicans with your goofiness." bobby b · June 22, 2010 03:54 AM Brett - What Obama's people have produced is a "Certification of Live Birth." It's meaningless. Bone-up man. Rodger Schultz · June 22, 2010 09:19 AM The whole birther babble is so beside the point. Why stoop to conspiracy theories about Obama, when he exposes his treason so openly. Frank · June 22, 2010 11:43 AM ...I'm sorry? Just why does this idiot bureaucrat have any authority in this matter at all? Did he use his Jedi Mind Tricks to discover the truth? Not to mention Barack Hussein Obama's birth was announced in two different local papers in Hawaii at the time he was born, the facsimiles of which have been available online for quite a while now. On the other hand, since when did conspiracy kooks ever pay any attention to inconvenient things like the facts? Eric, agreed. The Clintons love them some hardball politics, and neither one would have laid off such an obvious softball. I followed at least some of the PUMAs supporting Hillary, and they would have been all over that like white on rice. Casey · June 23, 2010 03:53 AM nuts. babble, untrue. No. One. Knows. I shall suspend judgment. Brett · June 23, 2010 08:43 AM What Obama's people have produced is a "Certification of Live Birth." It's meaningless. The COLB is official certification by the State of Hawaii that Barack Obama was born in Honolulu on August 4, 1961. That is what the document says, and at the bottom it states "this copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding." It is the same document the state now provides anyone who was born in Hawaii. The argument that it is fraudulent is an argument that the State of Hawaii is lying -- an argument that could also be made about anyone else's COLB. Proving that a state-certified document is fraudulent is a pretty tough standard. An opinion by a former clerk is not enough. Eric Scheie · June 23, 2010 01:26 PM Post a comment

More than a week has passed since Adams claimed that Obama was not born in Hawaii and no one has confirmed. He also claimed that "everyone knew," but not one person has confirmed.
In contrast, Obama's official birth certificate from Hawaii has been confirmed twice by the officials of the department of health of Hawaii and once by the governor of Hawaii. And, Obama's Kenyan grandmother never said that Obama was born in Kenya. She said repeatedly that he was born in Hawaii. And, in another interview, she said that the first that her family in Kenya had heard of Obama's birth was in a letter from Hawaii.
