It seems the Obama health care plan is attracting a LOT of unwanted attention from dissenters.
Kenneth Gladney, 38, a conservative activist from St. Louis, said he was attacked by some of those arrested as he handed out yellow flags with "Don't tread on me" printed on them. He spoke to the Post-Dispatch from the emergency room at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, where he said he was awaiting treatment for injuries to his knee, back, elbow, shoulder and face. Gladney, who is black, said one of his attackers, also a black man, used a racial slur against him before the attack.
I guess the Democrats were right after all. At a town meeting held by a Democrat congressman, a rowdy group of organized and angry thugs showed up to make a point about ObamaCare, and then beat up a man. Race was involved, too: the victim was black -- attacked by a man yelling racial slurs.
It's every Democrat talking point you've read about in the last day or two, come to life in an ugly fashion.
With one twist. The black victim was a conservative, and the assailants may well have been union thugs....
This seems like a perfect Obama "can't we all get along" moment. I wonder if the union guys and the black fellow will get a White House invite for beer?

As many of you have heard, the White House now requests that the public tattle on those of us spreading "fishy disinformation" regarding Washington's proposed takeover . . . oops, I mean "reform" . . . of your health care. This step, naturally, is for our own good.
Now, don't get overly paranoid, you freaky right-wing zealots. Judging from the Obama administration's track record, the program will do absolutely nothing other than add billions to the deficit.
The vital thing to bear in mind, though, is that the nation needs a concerted plan to corral this wacko "mob" of "thugs" who recklessly use the First Amendment to decelerate all this forward progress.
We are talking about a moral imperative here. As one senator asserted this week, passing government-run health care is the "sacred duty" of Congress. (Boy, it's a good thing we banished all that moral preening from Washington.)
When your mission is the same as that of the Lord himself, well, you can imagine the kind of scandalous characters populating the opposition camp. It is the type of individual that Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi astutely points out has the tendency to carry "swastikas and symbols like that" to local town hall meetings on health care.
You might be curious to find out what symbols Pelosi believes are "like" swastikas. Maybe she's referring to the Gadsden flag.

You know if this sort of thing keeps going on I predict a Civil War in America. I'm betting on the guys with the most guns. And it isn't the gun banning leftists.

The recent debacle of the town hall by Castor in Tampa and Carnahan in St Louis who did what Obama suggested and brought in SEIU to set up and provide pro health care vocal support and shut out the locals who were protesting and then starting pushing.
Obama’s comment that they would push back will start violence since union thugs are used to pushing and physical intimidation. The people attending this town hall are mostly middle age and elderly and they are angry, if they get attacked, their children and grandchildren will attend to defend them and this will get physical indeed.
This mistake of demonizing the people who are protesting and attending these town halls who just want their representatives to know that they are against this socialized health care plan that the elderly believe will lead to their inability to get health care to live. This is a life and death decision.
That mistake has the probability to spark a physical revolt and violence. Blacks are used to blacks rioting, they are not used to the white middle class and elderly rioting.
The anger is getting dangerous and if the Obama, Democrats and progressive loonies think they can just intimidate people by shouting racism and mobs they are mistaken. The intimidation will not work but will spark a push back. Physically. People will not put up with union thuggery to shut them up at these meetings. They will insist on local police to protect and arrest the thugs. They will have their adult children and grandchildren to protect them. These people are CCW holders for Gods sake and will fight if attacked.
There is a real risk that a spark will start a bloody revolution and the actual spark may be quite small. But all the factors and anger is there.
People have been sensing dangerous times for some time and arming up. They may not know why they needed to, but they felt the need.
We don’t want a bloody revolt especially against the federal government, but the people will demand to be heard and the chants of “ Silent No More” and “You Work for Us” is the simple reality of our Constitutional system. People are fearful that Obama supports they tactics of Chavez and Zelaya of Honduras and though in the fall the voters would not believe that Obama may want to subvert out constitutional system they are not sure now. Especially with the DNC and Obama labeling the voters as enemies and mobs
Nixon once called the majority of white voters the Silent Majority. That Silent Majority propelled him into office due to fears of race riots and crime. This new Silent Majority has fears of being killed or refused medical care and the inability to buy health care so that they will die off and not be voters.
Obama foolish end of life riff played into those fears and people are outraged that care may be refused but instead government counselors will encourage death alternatives to life alternatives.
Obama’s stubborn anger against the voters is dangerous and will solidify the idea that Obama and his administration is against the voters and if the Democrats representatives that are facing that anger get scared instead of engaged and barricade themselves this will just set off more anger as voters get convinced that their representatives are determined to ride rough shod over voters concerns.
Obama’s faults of arrogance and inability to understand the conservative point of view and his idea that he won so he can do anything is wrong headed and will lead to grief. His attitude seems to closely mirror the “Big man ruler” of Africa and that model cannot work in America, The spirit of resistance the idea that “We are the People” and our representatives work for us and not us for them is still here and getting strong this year.
There was even a post on Huffington Post that echoed the concern of Obama’s dictatorial attitude. So this anger by voters is spreading from conservatives to libertarians, to moderates, independents and to liberals. The progressives which are the loony left are starting to also feel concern and will diverge between those who are pro totalitarian and those who are more freedom loving.
This overreach by progressives, DNC and Obama may destroy the pro communists and progressives as an agenda for many years.
I expect that 2010 may actually become a blowout and the GOP has a great chance to get 20-30 seats in the House and get more Senate seats.
More and more good candidates are thinking of running and the fact that GOP has been solid in resisting the DNC agenda has helped. The Blue Dogs democrats are in danger since many are in conservative leaning districts.
St Louis has been very active with large turnouts on Tea Parties and Russ Carnahan recent stunt with SEIU and running away from his town hall will probably spell his doom in 2010.
Obama attempting to control the narrative that these are mobs and Nazis lovers and extremists is not working. If he does not tone it down and stop the ACORN and SEIU thug tactics he will provoke violence.
Obama will rue the day he released the dogs of war.
