Lawyer For Terrorists Defends Obama

This is rather curious. Obama is supposed to produce his birth certificate to prove he is an American citizen. Instead of producing the paper, he is fighting the suit. From Atlas Shrugs.

Rather than just product the birth certificate (is he trying to hide something?) Obama's legal team filed a motion to dismiss. One of the Lawyers filing the motion was Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young (see the document below).

If Mr. Sandler's name sounds familiar it Should. He is the Leagal Hit Man for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is an organization with terrorist ties, and has been as an un-indicted co-conspiritor in the Holyland Foundation Hamas Funding trial.

Sandler's role for CAIR has been to stifle people from telling the truth about Islam. For example, last year he tried to get Jihad Expert Robert Spencer banned from speaking to the Young American Foundation by using a threatening letter. Sandler followed up by threatening columnist Mike Adams for writing about the Spencer incident.

Curious choice of lawyers. And producing the paper work should be pro forma. No big deal. Why fight it? Unless there is something to hide. Go to the Atlas Shrugged link above to get more details on the story and links. Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interrresting.

I think this is just another example of Obama's street-brawler instincts, like threatening radio and TV stations that broadcast critical ads. If we all agree that Obama was born in Hawaii, then the rest of this doesn't matter. Atlas Shrugs goes on about his dual citizenship, but they're wrong. If he was born in Hawaii, then he is eligible to run for the White House.

Dear Simon,

My name is Charles Murphy and Iím working on a project called Shadow DC. This is the first political art project that you can actually vote for in November. Thatís right, what started as a cross-platform science-fiction movie about Washington DC has turned into a real candidacy for DCís non-voting senate seat.

Right now, para-military forces from DC and Virginia are engaged in a battle which will decide the shape of our nationís capitol to come. D. Lincoln Ober is the only candidate who promises to expose the governmentís effort to cover up whatís now being called The Potomac War.

Sorry but this one is a loser of an issue, and the lawsuit is frivolous. Obama's birth certificate has now been verified by Newsweek, and even WorldNetDaily.

David Freddoso (author, The Case Against Barack Obama) was interviewed by Right Wing News a few days ago, and he said this:

One issue that admittedly looks pretty shaky, but has not quite died down in the blogosphere is the Obama birth certificate issue. Have you looked into this? Are you very comfortable that this is a complete dead end?

Yes, it is a dead end. A lot of the emails about this suggest things that are factually false, such as Obama was born in Hawaii when it was a territory. He was not. He was born in Hawaii when it was a state. There is no question about Obama's citizenship. He is a United States citizen. There is no more reason to doubt his citizenship than there is to doubt mine. So, yes, I do think you're going down a blind alley there. For example, the fact that there is a false birth certificate floating around on the internet is not proof that the real birth certificate has something shady about it.
***END QUOTE***

As to hiring a lawyer who represents Islamists, once again, I think the Obama campaign is having fun tweaking conservatives.

tim,

It is not his eligibility that is the problem.

It is how it will look to the voter. Suppose he has dual citizenship. That would be a big distraction. Or suppose when he got adopted his last name was changed to Soetero? Again - not a problem.

So why not clear them up in June of '07 instead of leaving them to Oct of '08?
