Anyway, via Ann Althouse (hmmm, maybe that should have been Glenn Reynolds, although I had thought he was talking about squirrels) I just found a link to a place called the Pit Bull Armory, which has -- you guessed it -- medieval style armor for pit bulls!

I don't know how Coco would look in that, and I'm not sure she'd really want to wear it around the house.
Maybe only for special events.

Canemque, I bet. Vicki Hearne has a chapter on Rome being founded by a Pit Bull, in _Bandit: Dossier of a Dangerous Dog_ ; the book as a whole being a philosophical study of the kindness industry, and not a kindly one.
The gent in question makes armor for dogs and horses. The model in the picture is his own pet. You can get armor made for most dog, but it has to be fitted.
He also does squirrel armor as a sideline, but only for mounted specimens.
