Greenpeace Knocks Wind Out Of Ted Kennedy's Sails Wind is not the answer to all our energy problems. However, when it is blowing it serves as a substitute for natural gas fired electrical plants. Which currently cost more per Kwh in America than wind power electricity. Note that offshore wind is one of the most reliable wind sources.
