Looking at Doctors and Drugs

Hootsbuddy's Place has a look at how doctors prescribe psychoactive drugs. Not a pretty picture. As Hootsbuddy says:

I went to my doctor a few years ago and told him I was having trouble sleeping (i.e., I was taking 2-3 hours to get to sleep at night). He diagnosed me with depression and prescibed Paxil.

I'm convinced most doctors should be allowed nowhere near a prescription pad.
