One unintentional conspiracy insinuation deserves another! (Part 2)
Bill Clinton's recent remarks about Oklahoma City reminded me of a post I wrote almost two years ago, when Hillary gaffed ominously, "We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California."At the time I opined that K. Lo was right when she said "There is something deeply wrong with the Clintons." To be kind about it, their gaffes (at least I think they're gaffes) keep coming! I thought we were rid of them. MORE: Glenn Reynolds has a good roundup of Oklahoma City anniversary links. And not to be picky, but I'd still like to know whether the number of victims totaled 168 or 169. The unidentified stray leg has never been explained, and the Wiki entry mentions it. Why not just call it an "unknown victim," raise the number of victims to 169, and be done with it? MORE: Thanks Sean for the link! Also, Sean has some vintage words of wisdom from Virginia Postrel: Loud voices are not the same as violent deeds. Criticism is not the same as murder. Exposing government violence is not the same as blowing up buildings. It is grossly irresponsible to blur these distinctions. And those who rely on such smear tactics are in no position to lecture the rest of us about toning down rhetoric. posted by Eric on 04.17.10 at 10:58 PM

Clintons lie when the truth would work just as well or better. And it's our fine media's fault. Except when running against the media's messiah, can say anything whatsoever and it's taken at face value and believed. "I didn't inhale"? If I had said that to my mother when I was 16 and was caught smoking I'd still be grounded 30 years later. And if it's not a lie, it's worse. That means that a man who wants to be POTUS is too much of a wimp to tell his "friends" he doesn't want to smoke. A college student who lets peer pressure pressure him is a loser and not fit to lead America. But he said it and the media was happy. If the NYTimesWashPostCNNABCCBSNBCetc. (now called Minitru) don't hyperventilate, most Americans ignore it. Why else was Mark Foley evil for sending sexy texts to boys and Eric Massa, who groped boys working for him, is relatively unknown? Prominent Dems can lie with impunity while Republicans are accused of lying when they tell the truth. Our leftist, lying, partisan Minitru is the biggest danger to our Republic. I have observed that the left is always contemplating some perceived wrong that is going to be done by their opposition, are they not capable of positive thoughts, or do they thrive on creating misinformation?
