If you are fan of the original Star Trek with Wm. Shattner you absolutely have to watch this video. Don't argue. Just watch it. You will be glad you did.

Damn. He's the one who beat me out on the eBay auction for a complete Kirk costume.

Except for the commercial for Pajamas TV, featuring what I presume is the ego-tard Roger Simon, that was moderately amusing, in a "hey, I did this in my basement, take a look!" sort of way.

However, not enough to excuse the existence of PJ Media, or their idiotic business plan to nowhere. If you will kindly flag all future links for PJM content, I will gladly avoid clicking on them just to avoid giving the wrong impression.

HT,

Yeah. The commercial is not bad until Roger comes on.

And I think your bit about flagging PJTV is not a bad idea. BTW did you see the Bill Whittle one on dropping the big one on Hiroshima? It was just excellent.

Excepting for Roger Simon. No relation - fortunately.

The thing that really chaps my fundaments is that, years ago, I had a great friend who looked a lot like "The Simon". Hat and all, except that he also wore sunglasses all the time.

Sadly, he passed away a few years ago, (RIP, Dick) and instead I am treated to the apparition of this doppelganger homunculus whenever I let my guard down and click on a PJ link.

Aargh.

This is not "to excuse the existence of PJ Media, or their idiotic business plan to nowhere," but I'm sorry to see Roger L. Simon and PJM getting bashed here. I admit my bias; I've met Roger and I think he's a great guy. He helped get me started in the infancy of this blog when I was known to no one. He encouraged my writing over the years, both here and as a PJM writer. Without him, there'd be no PJM, and probably no entertaining Bill Whittle Star Trek video.

I understand that people don't like him, but I do, and I'll continue to defend him when I see him under attack -- especially in comments at this blog.

Eric,

I'm still upset at the way he treated Dennis the Peasant at the start of PJM.

And the boys still don't get the drug war. Bill Whittle was all "this could really work" when interviewing Ms. Peters.

M. Simon   ·  June 11, 2009 11:05 AM

BTW I asked to be their drug war correspondent at the start of PJM. They still don't have one.

One of the defining civil rights issues of our time and Roger and Crew don't have a clue.

I tried explaining that OJ's team actually put the drug war on trial and OJ beat the rap because of it. Roger, who was at the trial - didn't get it. Drug war corruption let OJ walk. All Roger could think of was: "bastard beat murder one".

And all that after I had explained it to him.
