A View From Pravda
Pravda has a very strange view of the American economy. For the newspaper of record of a formerly communist country. Or maybe they have learned their lesson. It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.Well, some of the history is revisionist no doubt. But I have to say being burned by the Marxist menace has lead to its own cure in Russia for the most part. After an awful lot of pain and suffering. Is that what we in America have to look forward to? I hope not. But all the hope in the world will not get you a dime of spare change. Unless you have a special friend in the White House. What will that friend cost you? Better not to ask and just pony up because it is unicorns all the way. Cross Posted at Power and Control posted by Simon on 05.24.09 at 11:47 AM

It is strange, but I think what we are seeing is more Facism rather that social or communion ism's. We have elected a leader who has decieved himself and others to think he is divinely inspired and knows all the answers. What we have seen is a blatant grab for power, which in a capaitilist society is the means of produtions. Credit is the life blood of our economy and cars are a big share of what is sold under our version of capitalism. Go into any small town in the US and you will find at least three things. Some kind of small used car lot(s) a bar(s) and a bank. You might find several of the bar and car lots, but usuallly only one of the banks. By flooding the banks with "bail out" funds they now control who can and cannot get loans. Add in two of the big three and you now control indirectly 60% or more of the total economic values of the us. If you look at all the countries that have become facist states they all elected the man who assumed control. We just elected such a man to control the single most powerful country in the world. Russia and China will both soon be attacked following some premise that will be at best hookey. The rag heads like to think they are the center of the universe and they may indeed be the battle gorund, but it will be between US, China and Russia. I most sincerely hope I am wrong, but I fear that I am right. Paul · May 25, 2009 12:06 PM Post a comment

Yes, it is a very strange view. In their phrasing and interpretations we can detect a penchant for the grand view. A belief in vast historical change.
But sometimes outsiders notice what we do not see just as we sometimes believe they must be utterly mad.
Which is not to say the outsider is always right.
Here they are at least partly right. O and the Democrats are changing the US with astonishing speed. I think it will be disastrous. But others think it will be grand.
