During Mr. Obama's recent trip to Mexico he was greeted by a man who may have subsequently died from the Swine Flu epidemic that is sweeping across Mexico.
At least 20 deaths in Mexico from the disease are confirmed, Health Minister Jose Cordova said yesterday. The strain is a variant of H1N1 swine influenza that has also sickened at least eight people in California and Texas. As many as 68 deaths may be attributed to the virus in Mexico, and about 1,000 people in the Mexico City area are showing symptoms of the illness, Cordoba said.
The first case was seen in Mexico on April 13. The outbreak coincided with the President Barack Obama's trip to Mexico City on April 16. Obama was received at Mexico's anthropology museum in Mexico City by Felipe Solis, a distinguished archeologist who died the following day from symptoms similar to flu, Reforma newspaper reported. The newspaper didn't confirm if Solis had swine flu or not.
The Mexican government is distributing breathing masks to curtail the disease's spread. There is no vaccine against the new strain of swine flu, health authorities said.
I hope Mr. Obama comes through this with minimal or no difficulties. I want to see him impeached. Besides. There is Joe Biden to think about.
It is kind of interesting to think that he may have been very close to a possibly infected person and what that might mean in a political and world history sense if he were to have succumb but without any symptoms, and given that I suspect they can spare a course of Tamiflu for the Messiah, it might be a bit early to be looking for a tomb with a round rock door to lay him in.
Yes, The One, shall be layed in a tomb with a great rock blocking the entryway. But, he shall never be seen or heard from again! A great day for America!

I've heard from a few different sources that there would be no vaccination for such a rare virus as the Swine Flu, I hope this isn't the case
Nomad, it is possible to syntetize "short-term" vaccines to protect against specific types of strains (actually, with flu-type viruses is quite easy). The problem is that this type of viruses mutate extremely easily, and the hypothetic vaccine would probably not be effective against new strains.
Deagle/ Dated 3rd March 2009.
These Doctors/Scientists are saying the HN51 strain has been modified by a company called Baxters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKgMIdeBW3c
Interesting video. But I believe it is a bit hasty to jump to conclusions before all the forensics are in.
These types of viruses seem to specialize in exchanging genetic material from each other. Every few decades they seem to get lucky. What with air travel etc. a lot of this genetic material is available around the world. And you know - birds fly. In fact they migrate. Long distances.
I'm with you though. Avoid vaccinations until there is some reason to believe they would be effective against the current strain.
It would be rather ironic, if not fitting justice, if the guy who pushed through the massive porkulus bill contracted swine flu.
