Obama's Spiritual Mentor Speaks
His mentor comes with a mind set which says that poverty is caused by some (white) folks hogging the wealth. "Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people," Wright says.Actually we know that wealth distribution is mostly a function of the distribution of natural abilities and the nature of the governing institutions. If the governing institutions favor wealth creation then you will have a place where even poor people are fat. FOX News reports that Obama said this at a campaign stop in Ohio last week: "Jeremiah Wright ... has said some things that are considered controversial because he's considered that part of his social gospel," Obama said.Obama is not being entirely candid here. He means Socialist gospel. There was revival of of this in the 60s. It is at the core of the "progressive" movement. Of late it has fallen on hard times. The most modern churches now preach the gospel of wealth. Get some and do good for yourself and others with it. As opposed to government enforced theft followed by the government dole. It comes down to what actually happens in practice. Would you prefer to be at the mercy of 10 different corporations or one government agent? The question of course is: did Obama join the church as a political move or does he really believe that stuff? Or to put it a little more crudely - is he really Al Sharpton at heart? H/T Instapundit Update: This story is breaking big in a lot of different directions. Eric looked at this back in January and wondered if it really mattered. Instapundit has the latest on how this is finally breaking out in the mainstream media. So does it really matter? I don't think so in the way it is portrayed. We all know that Obama is a social engineer who wants to get a hold of government guns to enforce his vision. All that we are seeing is confirmation. Wright is raw. Obama is smooth. Different sales pitch. Same product. posted by Simon on 03.13.08 at 10:40 AM |

If someone attended KKK meetings for 20 years, brought his wife to them, then brought his children to them, dedicated a book to the Grand Whizzer-d, called him his "mentor", etc, etc...
...do you think it would hold water for this same person to "deflect" the issue as "guilt by association"?!?
...much less when said individual is running to be President of the United States?!
Wright's demagoguery - as Obama's 20-year membership/participation - must be condemned in the strongest manner possible.
America may see Obama as "smooth" now; this is only the sales pitch. America must never allow him the opportunity to exercise his commitment to his "raw" side.
