Krugman Gets It

Economist Paul Krugman gets it.

The ascendancy of modern conservatism is "an almost embarrassingly simple story," he says, and race is the key.
Yep. I think that perfectly explains Republican Bobby Jindal's win in Louisiana. Krugman is a genius.

No, Bobby Jindal's election is explained by most of the Black voters having been washed out of the state by Hurricane Katrina.

I guess racism is one of your "classical" values.

Well, more bullshit from the faction that has used race to divide the nation for fifty years now.

Most voters' political opinions come down to the following proposition: "What this country needs is more people like me!"

I submit that more people of PopeRatzo's views have made the nation less congenial and less free.

As a believer in liberty, I'm never dismayed that most people aren't like me.

Well, actually Ratzo may have a point, but he doesn't actually realize who is actually being racist.

If Bobby Jindal ran against Mike Nutter in Philadelphia, who do you think would win?
