The more I thought about it, the more I realized that she really is acting, because she is being watched by an audience (on national television at that), and she knows it.
But what is acting?
Any ideas?
My take on this is that she had me fooled.
And if she had me fooled, then she's a great actress, right?
Or was I a fool to imagine that I was fooled?
This is very confusing. Maybe I can sort it out on the road.

Oddly enough, I saw this the first time it was broadcast. (I have soft spot for TV smut like this). I thought at the time that not only was she acting but that so were several other people on the show; the whole thing seemed hammily conspired to make Christians look like intolerant fools.
If she is acting, the real question is: to what degree is she acting? Is she really a Christian and was merely hamming up her outrage? Is she a Christian who didn't care but it is acting outraged? Is she not a Christian at all?
If the character she acted was a Muslim, would the show have been allowed to air at all?
