A rather disgusting Berkeley moment

In Berkeley today a group of pro-terrorist hecklers protested this exhibition of an Israeli commuter bus which was blown up last January by terrorists.

As luck would have it, I just bought a cheap ($69.00) digital video camera, and I was able to film a group of them as they heckled the mostly pro-Israel crowd.

Here's a video of some of the hecklers.

UPDATE: A commenter asked me about the $69.00 video camera I used. It's an AIPTEK Pocket DV2, available at the AIPTEK web site.

The perfect choice for jobs like this.

(Hey, if you're in a riot, it pays not to have to worry about expensive equipment getting trashed.)

Nice job of filming. My Powershot A95 takes films of about the same quality.

Regarding what he was saying, I don't think it matters. He is trying to persuade people by showing them how passionate he is. Liberals respond to this outpouring of emotion because liberals respond to arguing from emotion. Non-liberals look at that video and probably just see a child throwing a tantrum. A dangerous child, but still.

Coincidentally my blog has a 2-parter about arguing from emotion and why liberals can't combat Islamists because they respect such arguments.

It is high time that people stop referring to terrorists as stupid. To simply call them stupid is only making their "emotional" pleas more intense. The guy was saying, "How many more people have to die" over and over. Mixed in with it was the same irrational drivel that post-911 Americans were engaging in. If I had an M-16 I would wipe out all those ragheads...and so on.

The reason the US is in the terrorist situation it is in now is not because terrorists are stupid. If Osama bin Laden is stuopid, well, then the Americans "hunting" him down are morons.

I am not a terrorist sympathizer, but it is obvious to me and millions of people around the world that simply trying to marginalize these people has not ever and will not ever work, no matter how much money and Rumsfeld you have.

I would have been so full of rage at the pro-terrorist "counter" demonstraters .. how much different are they from neo-Nazis "counter" demonstrating a Holocaust exhibit? Or KKK members "counter" demonstrating MLK day?

On the street they "demonstrate", in New Jersey they are now slitting throats.
