The 116th Carnival of the Vanities is hosted this week at Vik Rubenfeld's The Big Picture. Vik is a fine blogger who does a great job with too many posts to mention, but the following stood out for me:

As to that Catholic perspective on SSM: I didn't like all Robert Hayes's premises or arguments, but I did like his conclusion: "Everybody gets cake." That's the solution that Rev. Donald Sensing arrived at quite a while ago: give everybody civil unions and leave marriage to the churches. A Christian libertarian.
