Remember the veterans
Happy Veterans Day everyone! I am not going to have much time for blogging, because this is one of those semi-holidays when things are supposed to get done. I'm going to try to stop at Valley Forge for a moment of contemplation. Today is also the Marine Corps birthday, and we owe a huge debt to them. Enjoy, but remember! posted by Eric on 11.11.04 at 01:03 PM

The Marine Corps' official birthday is actually 10 November 1775. It was always very convenient for us to have a Marine-specific holiday just before the National holiday on the 11th it usually gave us 5 days off instead of 4. James Brickey · November 11, 2004 02:41 PM Thank you both! (I stand corrected on the Marine Corps birthday.) Eric Scheie · November 11, 2004 09:12 PM |
