After Pakistan
Except that it seems like, in the words of the great Jimmy Durante, "Everyone is trying to get in on the act." It appears that my esteemed Senator from Illinois and Presidential Contender Barack Obama is trying to get in on the act. WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would possibly send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists, an attempt to show strength when his chief rival has described his foreign policy skills as naive. You can't make this stuff up. I'm surprised he didn't mention Saudi Arabia. For that matter we know Iran is "holding" some pretty high level Al Queda members. Perhaps it is past time that Obama got on the bomb Iran bandwagon. Update: I found out why he didn't mention Saudi Arabia. Edwards already has it. Cross Posted at The Astute Bloggers posted by Simon on 08.01.07 at 02:09 PM

Yes, why isn't brave B. Hussein Obama talking about invading Iran, which is aiding the insurgents in Iraq with IEDs? Let's see. He'll talk without preconditions to such dependable friendly types as Ahmadildojihad, Lil' Kim, the bearded dictator just south of Key West, plus Chubby Hugo and the stick-insect in Damascus. But he'll invade Pakistan, an ally with nuclear weapons whose leader is barely hanging onto power versus whack-job nutso jihadists, to show he knows more about foreign policy than any other presidential candidate. Am I missing something? Or is this Obama dude dumber than dirt? And is Chillary right, much as I hate to say it, when she observes he is gullible and naive? daveinboca · August 1, 2007 08:17 PM About Conservatives wanting to bomb everthing. People forget. The afternoon of 9/11 every other country was falling over itself to let the US know that 1.they were horrified by what happened and 2. they were fully on board with getting whoever did it. This was not because they were afraid the US would go to the UN. People who scream most about multi-culteral respect, clearly do not respect either Arab or Muslim culture and would stop projecting westert cultural on them. Talk is weak. Sucking up is weak. If we were going to war, then we were going to war. buzz · August 1, 2007 11:19 PM "[T]he stick-insect in Damascus" is usually referred to as the Chinless Opthamologist. If the right wing is obsessed with "bombing everything in sight", then why haven't we? What's holding us back? nobody important · August 2, 2007 10:26 AM Post a comment

So we shouldn't have bombed Tora Bora when OBL was there?
