I played tour guide for an out of town visitor this afternoon, and took a few photos.
Some oddball architectural details I liked:
I don't know whether this is on or off, peeling or unpeeling:
A breakthrough at long last:
And finally, my photograph of an unexplained photograph of a couple of guys who obviously had too much time on their hands.
Perhaps they were getting ready for a small scale ball.
All in all, a lovely day.

Eric-I finally realized what is bothering me about this (http://www.classicalvalues.com/archives/003876.html) post. I read the books you suggested by Tammy Bruce, and one of her repeated statements/ideas is that liberalism/leftism is a result of psychological scarring, or, in other words, a form of mental illness. How is that really different than what the F-scale guys believe?

I like Tammy Bruce, but I don't remember suggesting books. What I do remember is reviewing a review of The New American Revolution:
In general, unless someone is so crazy that he cannot articulate what he thinks, I'd rather take issue with the merits of his argument than the underlying psychological motivations he might have. An opinion is either right or wrong. An authoritarian might have a good argument in a particular case, and so might a narcissist, a passive aggressive, or a manic-depressive.
