If this is who "investigative journalists" honor . . .

. . . then it's an honor not to be an "investigative journalist."

Cam Edwards (of NRANews) reports that the keynote speaker at this year's Investigative Reporters and Editors conference is none other than Dan Rather:

If this doesn't tell you everything you need to know about the media, I don't know what will.
And it certainly speaks volumes about the integrity of so-called "investigative journalism" as that is practiced today.

No wonder those who refer to themselves as "investigative journalists" hate bloggers so much. It must be awful for them to see that there are still real investigative journalists in the world. (Even if they're called other things these days.)

Little Green Footballs and Rather Biased are investigative journalists? Are you cracked? When was the last time they sent a camera crew to interview subjects? How many foreign wars did they cover?

These guys think they uncovered a real story (one story) and suddendly they're investigative journalists? Is this how we give credibility to bigots?

BTW: The "fake" memo was never determined to be fake (I don't care what Powerliars think) and it was never determined to be false. All of this was an effective distraction from the real story: the President is a draft-dodging, AWOL little prick. His opponent was a war hero.

That last paragraph was great.
