Happy Veterans Day everyone! I am not going to have much time for blogging, because this is one of those semi-holidays when things are supposed to get done. I'm going to try to stop at Valley Forge for a moment of contemplation.

I salute each and every one of our veterans, each and every one of thosr brave men and women who have fought, or stood ready to fight, in our Wars for freedom. And I salute those who are fighting now. God, and all Gods and Goddesses, bless America.
The Marine Corps' official birthday is actually 10 November 1775. It was always very convenient for us to have a Marine-specific holiday just before the National holiday on the 11th it usually gave us 5 days off instead of 4.

Thank you both! (I stand corrected on the Marine Corps birthday.)
