Via Drudge, I found a baffling statement by Jon Stewart: FLASHBACK: Stewart, during commencement address at William And Mary University, Williamsburg, blasted Bush and war: 'We declared war on terror. We declared war on terror - it's not even a noun, so, good luck. After we defeat it, I'm sure we'll take on that bastard ennui'...I've read it five times now, and I'm beginning to doubt my grammatical abilities. I thought "terror" was a noun! Now I'm forced to check the dictionary, because an expert like Jon Stewart wouldn't lie, would he? posted by Eric on 10.19.04 at 02:34 PM |
